🌍 Travel to Budapest
If you are a citizen of an EU country, you can enter Hungary with your national ID card or passport.
If you are a non‑EU citizen, you will need a passport and may be required to apply for a Schengen visa, depending on your nationality.
If you’re taking a chartered flight from [INSERT LOCATION], you will arrive in Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport [BUD]. From the airport, shuttle buses will take you directly to the Fan Meeting Point.
⚠️ After the match, you must use the bus service from the Fan Meeting Point for your return charter flight. You will not be able to access your plane if you travel independently to the airport.
Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport [BUD] is Hungary’s major international airport, located 25km southeast of the city centre.
Alternative airports to consider are:
- Vienna International Airport, Austria [VIE]
- Bratislava Airport, Slovakia [BTS]
- Košice International Airport, Slovakia [KSC]
Budapest is well-connected by rail to cities across mainland Europe including [Vienna, Bratislava, Prague, Munich, INSERT RELEVANT CITIES]. Services will either call at Budapest Keleti (east side of the city centre) or Budapest-Nyugati (towards the west of the city centre).
Additionally, long-distance bus services are readily available to Népliget Bus Station or Kelenföld Bus Terminal from locations such as Vienna, Prague, Bratislava and Munich.
If travelling by car, use one of the Park + Ride facilities around the city.

🆓 Free matchday travel in Budapest for ticket holders
Ticket holders can take advantage of free travel on the following lines on matchday:
• Metro lines 1, 2, 3 & 4
• Tram line 1
• Champions Express: Special bus service between airport and city
• 200E regular bus service between airport and city
Please be prepared to present your match ticket to public transport staff upon request. Valid during the operational hours of each service for Saturday 30 May.

🏟️ Ticket holders: From 15:00, make your way to the stadium via the suggested walking route below.
🌃 After the match: The Fan Meeting Point including concessions and facilities will open after the match for ticket holders to wait for their return journey home.
There are two routes from BUD Airport on matchday.
Option 1️⃣
🚍 Hop on the Champions Express bus service between the airport and Népliget, then change onto T1 to Puskás Ferenc Stadion. From the stop, the Fan Meeting Point is approx. 25-minute walk.
Option 2️⃣
🚏 Alternatively, take the 200E bus service to Kőbánya-Kispest, then transfer to the M3 to Kálvin tér, then take M4 to Keleti. The Fan Meeting Point is approx. 20-minute walk.
From the city centre
🚇 Hop on the M2 service to Puskás Ferenc Stadion and follow the signs to the Fan Meeting Point. It should take approx. 25 minutes to walk from the station.
Facilities
🎒 A bag deposit will be available for [INSERT COST / PAYMENT OPTIONS] at the Fan Meeting Point. If you are boarding a post-match service to BUD Airport for your return charter flight, please allow sufficient time to collect your item. However, it’s best to not bring a large bag at all!
🍟 You’ll find multiple food and drink stands where you can grab tasty snacks, cold beer and soft drinks.

🚶 Getting to the stadium
Use the blue routes as shown on the map to arrive at the stadium. Gates open at 15:00 local time for a 18:00 kick-off.
Walking is the best option. It’s approx. 15-20-minute walk. The route will be clearly signposted.
Walking is a convenient option (allow 50 minutes from iconic landmarks). Alternatively, board the M2 service to Keleti from metro stations in the city centre such as Deák Ferenc tér.
🚨 Stadium rules
Puskás Aréna may operate differently for the UEFA Champions League final than you are used to.
❌ The following are prohibited inside the stadium:
- Bags larger than A4 size 🎒
- Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes and heat-not-burn tobacco products 🚭
- The complete list of forbidden items, such as professional cameras, can be found in the stadium rules below. 🚫
✅ Items to bring on matchday include:
- Valid original ID. ID checks on stadium entry are mandatory by law for all ticket holders. You will also need to present it at the Ticketing Centre should you experience any issues with your match ticket. Accepted IDs include passport, national ID card and driving licence. 🪪
- A small power bank, no larger than your phone. 🔋

👋 After the match
If the match concludes during normal time, the post-match trophy ceremony and accompanying celebrations should finish by 20:30. If the match goes to extra time or penalties, expect the action on the pitch to continue until around 21:15.
Football is unpredictable and things can change. Please consider these times as estimates.
You must board the shuttle bus service from the Fan Meeting Point for your return charter flight. It will not be possible to access the plane if you travel independently to the airport.

Should you have an extended wait for your flight, consider heading back to the Fan Meeting Point as facilities will reopen after the match. Then use Puskás Ferenc Stadion metro station or tram stop to begin your return journey.
