🛂 Travel to Istanbul
📍 Arriving in Türkiye
Entry and visa requirements from Italy
Italian citizens and citizens from other EU countries and the Schengen area won’t need a visa to enter Türkiye, so you can enter the country with your national ID card and passport. Both national ID card and passport must be valid for at least 150 days from the date of entry to meet entry validity requirements and must be perfectly intact and undamaged.
If you are not a EU citizen, you may need an e-visa to enter the country. Have a look at the Türkiye Ministry of Foreign Affairs page for more visa information. Visit our travel page for a general overview and our accessibility page if you require the additional information.
❌🚗 No stadium parking
Do not drive to the stadium on matchday – there will be strictly no parking for private vehicles (unless you have received an accessible parking pass for the match).
Extensive road closures will be in place.
If you’re driving to Istanbul, leave your car at your accommodation or park by one of the main metro stations in the city. Then hop on the shuttle buses (with your UCL Fan Pass) to the stadium from the Inter Transport Hub (Beşiktaş) or take the metro to the stadium.
🛬 Charter Flights and Coaches
Charter Flights to Istanbul
If you're travelling as part of an organised group on a charter flight from Italy, you'll touch down at Istanbul Airport (IST) at Pier F. Follow the signage and look out for our friendly airport volunteers should you need any assistance.
💡 Charter flight tips
🎒 Travel light without check-in luggage. Keep in mind bags larger than A4 size won't be allowed inside the stadium.
🛫 Have your return boarding pass ready before you touch down in Istanbul. This will significantly speed up the departure process after the match.
🚌 Onward travel from the airport will be determined by the time you land. Matchday traffic is unpredictable, and it will take longer than you expect.
➡️ If you arrive BEFORE 13:00 on matchday – onward travel will go to the transport hub in Beʂiktaʂ.
➡️ If you arrive AFTER 13:00 on matchday – onward travel will take you directly to your Fan Zone at the stadium.
Coaches
🏟️ Coaches to Atatürk Olympic Stadium for fans travelling on charter flights need to be booked in advance.
⚠️ Please check with your tour operator to ensure that your coach from the airport to the transport hub or to the stadium has been booked.
🚍 Your coach to the stadium will be waiting for you just outside of the terminal – please see the map above for details. After the match, all coaches will be in the coach parking area by the Fan Zone, so head straight there after the final whistle.
🏆 On matchday
⚠️ Travel tip
• Istanbul traffic can be heavy and unpredictable. You’re almost guaranteed to take significantly longer to travel across the city, so leave enough time in your planning!
• Do not travel by taxi.
All ticket holders can access shuttle buses and selected public transport services* for free on matchday when using the UCL Fan Pass on the Champions League App.
For detailed info how to travel for free, the services included and more, please check our travel page.
*Please be aware that Metro line 11 from/to IST Airport is NOT included in the free travel programme.
🚇 Public transport
The metro is another option for Inter supporters to get the stadium on matchday from the city centre. Ticket holders can travel for free with your UCL Fan Pass on the UEFA Champions League app.
If you fancy embracing the city like a local, use the Metro Istanbul network map to plan your route from the airport. Be aware that you will have to make multiple changes to get to your desired location.
To get to the stadium, we suggest the following route:
From the Inter Transport Hub and surrounding area:
M2 (Taksim-Mecidiyeköy) → M7 (Mecidiyeköy-Mahmutbey) → M3 (Mahmutbey-İkitelli Sanayi) → M9 (İkitelli Sanayi-Olimpiyat)
🚌 Shuttle buses
Dedicated shuttle buses will operate from both Istanbul (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen International (SAW) airports for match ticket holders only. This is the most convenient option as you will be able to jump on a shuttle bus to the city centre or the stadium, depending on the time of your arrival.
• To board, you will need to show your UCL Fan Pass to the driver.
• Allow plenty of time when using these services and get to the stadium early to soak up the atmosphere in the Fan Zone.
• All shuttles are fully accessible.
🚏 Transport hub
The Inter transport hub is conveniently located in Beʂiktaʂ, known for its waterfront location and historical buildings and close to the Giant Trophy installation.
📍 Beʂiktaʂ
• Coach parking area
• Shuttle bus stop for services from the airport
• Shuttle bus stop for services to the Fan Zone at the stadium
If you arrive on 9 June or before 13:00 on matchday, the shuttle services and coaches will drop you off here first. Please note that no services or facilities will be provided in this location.
The closest public transport stops to the Inter transport hub are:
🚇 Metro – stop Taksim, then 15-minute walk
🚋 Tram – stop Kabatas, then 20-minute walk
🎶 Fan Zone for ticket holders (from 14:00)

It’ll be the perfect gathering spot to meet fellow supporters and take in the atmosphere in the hours before the final and then make your way on foot to your seats (12 mins).

Football wouldn’t exist without supporters like you, and your love for football is what makes the atmosphere unlike anything else.
We want everyone to feel welcome and we want you to have a memorable night. So remember to always show good sportsmanship for both teams, all players and the match officials, and we kindly ask you to stay in your designated seats.
Stadium access and entry
You’ll only be able to access your seats through the gates indicated on your ticket. Have a look at the stadium map to locate your gates.
Stadium rules
Keep in mind that stadium rules may differ from what you are used to
🎒 Bag policy
You can only enter the stadium with bags no bigger than A4, so if you’re coming directly to the stadium, it’s best not to bring a bag at all if possible.
🚫 No coins please!
It’s important to check your pockets for coins of any currency, before heading to the match as they won’t be allowed into the stadium. But don’t worry, all concessions and Fan Shops in the stadium accept card payments. Any coins accidentally brought into the stadium will be collected and donated to support the victims of the Türkiye and Syria earthquake.
🔋Power banks
You can bring a small power bank, no larger than your phone.
For more information, check out the stadium page.
⚽ After the final whistle
Head back towards the Fan Zone to access the coaches and shuttle buses heading to your desired location, either one of the airports or Taksim. You’ll also be able to purchase soft drinks and food and use the toilet facilities.
If your charter flight is scheduled to depart right after the match, please confirm with your tour operator that a coach from the stadium to the airport has been booked for you. If this is the case, your coach will pick you up at P23, located by the Fan Zone.
With a 22:00 kick-off and the Trophy Ceremony after the match, you can expect the celebrations at the stadium to be over at around 00:20. If there's extra time or penalties, expect the action on the pitch to continue until 01:15. As you know football is unpredictable and things can always change. These times should be considered estimates!
Shuttle bus services will begin after the final whistle and will be running at maximum occupancy to both airports and Taksim. In addition, metro operating hours from Olimpiyat will be extended.
